Bangladesh is ready to repatriate the Rohingya in Myanmar. Now the country waiting for a green signal for starting the repatriation program from Myanmar. At first step, Bangladesh will send Hundred thousands Rohingya back in Myanmar gradually.
The country already made a list from the Rohingya who have been staying in Bangladesh since august 26,2017, when Myanmar military starts crackdown on ethnic Rohingya.
At a public meeting told Obaidul kader, the Road transport and railway minister and general secretary of Bangladesh Awami League. Who is also considered the ruling party’s second highest political leader after prime minister Shiekh Hasina.
In his approximately 15 minutes speech Mr. Qader said “We hope Myanmar will keep promise that has given us. The Rohingya needs safety and rehabilitation in Myanmar. And so we want the presence of UN. That is the only cause for starting the Rohingya repatriation late.”
However Mr. Qader doesn’t mention the time but told, the foreign minister of Myanmar will visit Bangladesh on 15. Government remind him about the Mou signed by Bangladesh and Myanmar, besides will handed a list of Rohingya over him.
Organized by local Awami League the meeting was held at Court Bazar of Ukhia in Cox’sBazar.
